Educational Requirements: Undergraduate Students · Accepted Majors o Accounting o CIS o Finance · GPA o Major GPA: 3.4 or better § If you have completed any upper level Accounting, CIS, or Finance courses the grades you received in ACCT 2101 and ACCT 2102 (or Finance and CIS equivalents) will not be included in your Major GPA calculation. § If you have completed ACCT 2101 and ACCT 2102 and are enrolled in an upper level Accounting, CIS, or Finance course, then your ACCT 2101 and ACCT 2102 grades will be considered and you will be admitted as a conditional candidate. · Being a conditional candidate means your GPA requirement will be reconsidered at the end of the semester when you have completed an upper level course. o Overall GPA: 3.2 or better · Course Completion and Enrollment o Completed Principles of Accounting (ACCT 2102 and ACCT 2102) o Accounting Majors: Enrolled or completed at least ACCT4111 or ACCT 4210 o CIS Majors: Enrolled or completed at least CIS 3730, CIS 3300, or CIS 3001 o Finance Majors: Enrolled or completed at least FI 4000 or FI 4020
Educational Requirements: Graduate Students · Enrollment o Must be enrolled in a graduate program in Accounting, CIS, and/or Finance. · GPA o Overall GPA: 3.3 or better
Administrative Requirements: All Candidates · Complete online Candidate Registration Form by 11:59PM January 19, 2012. · Pay BAP Spring 2012 dues by January 31, 2012. o Anyone who does not pay their dues on this date will forfeit their opportunity to participate in BAP for the Spring 2012 semester.
Activity Requirements: All Candidates · Professional Meetings o Attend 6 scheduled professional meetings o Sign-in and Sign-out at all professional meetings o Does not include office visits or events. · Chapter Meetings o Candidates are required to attend all chapter meetings. · Community Service o Complete 2 BAP-scheduled community service events o Sign-in and sign-out at all community service events attended. o Raise a minimum of $100 for the Global Outreach Project by March 12, 2012 · Proctoring o Proctor at least 1 Principles of Accounting (ACCT 2101 or ACCT 2102) exam · BAP Event o Attend 1 other BAP event · Committee Duties o Complete adequate committee service in one Beta Alpha Psi committee, to be determined by the committee chair · Initiation Banquet o Must attend semester–end initiation banquet o **Any candidate that does not attend the initiation will NOT be considered for membership § Any requests to be excused must be submitted by March 31, 2012. · Requirement Summary:
